Transneft Kama Region has completed scheduled measures at the Almetyevsk – NIzhniy Novgorod, the Subkhankulovo – Almetyevsk, the Naberezhnye Chelny – Almetyevsk and the Nizhnekamsk-2 – Naberezhnye Chelny petroleum products trunk pipelines (PPTPs).
The works were completed as part of the technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme in the Republic of Tatarstan.
To improve industrial safety and operational reliability of petroleum products transportation, 20 defects were eliminated at lines; 3 pipeline sections with a total length of over 1.3 km were connected.
Based on the results of a diagnostic inspection during a scheduled shutdown of the PPTPs, the company’s specialists replaced and repaired stop valves that did not comply with regulatory requirements for operation of pipeline transportation facilities.
All the scheduled works were performed taking into account the requirements of occupational health, industrial and environmental safety. The transportation of petroleum products has now been resumed and is being carried out under the standard protocol as scheduled.
