Transneft Kama Region has completed scheduled works at operating facilities in Sverdlovsk and Samara Regions, Perm Territory and the Republic of Tatarstan.
The works were performed around the clock for 72 hours as part of the technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme. To carry out the work, the transportation of oil via the Kholmogory – Klin, the Perm – Almetyevsk and the Almetyevsk – Kuybyshev-2 oil trunk pipelines (OTPs) was stopped as scheduled.
At the pipelines and operating facilities, specialists performed replacement, repair and shutdown of stop valves as well as eliminated defects. A bypass line with two gate valves was eliminated at the Platina line operation dispatcher station in accordance with measures to eliminate duplicate gate valves, dead ends and non-used crossover lines on process flow diagrams of oil pumping stations. The implemented measures allowed to increase the reliability and safety of the line facilities and the oil pumping stations.
In addition, during the period of reduced oil transportation via the Kiyengop – Naberezhnye Chelny OTP, a constructed section with a length of more than 400 m was connected. Process equipment was replaced without changing the operating mode of the Almetyevsk – Kuybyshev-2 OTP.
The repairs involved 604 specialists and 289 pieces of equipment, including the technical assistance of Transneft Upper Volga.
The scheduled works were performed taking into account the requirements of occupational health, industrial and environmental safety. By now, the pipelines are functioning under the normal protocol; transportation of oil is being conducted as scheduled.
