As part of the renewal programme, Transneft Kama Region has replenished its fleet to include twenty vehicles designed to service trunk pipelines and other operating facilities.
Among the purchased equipment are repair and welding units, drilling-crane machines, a car with an articulating crane, vacuum oil skimmers. All the vehicles are of domestic production, have increased operational characteristics and reduced consumption of motor fuel. The vehicles are equipped with GLONASS modules and tachographs to monitor fuel consumption and driving route, as well as drivers' work-rest mode.
All five branches of the company have received 11 drilling-crane machines capable of operating overhead transmission lines and electrochemical protection teams without the need for additional equipment: drilling machines, passenger vehicles, cargo cranes and autohydraulic hoists.
The utility vehicle department of the Romashkino Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (RPD) was expanded with a flat car and an articulating crane for loading, unloading and transporting cargo. In addition, 2 vacuum oil skimmers based on all-terrain tracked chassis were commissioned at the Perm and the Udmurt RPDs.
Transneft Kama Region also continues to improve the fleet of used vehicles running on gas engine fuel: 9 such vehicles are scheduled to be commissioned in 2H 2021.
Most types of vehicles have increased off-road performance. This is due to the fact that a large proportion of trunk pipelines run in hard-to-reach areas with poor road conditions.
The vehicles fleet renewal is essential to ensure safe operation of trunk pipelines within Transneft Kama Region’s area of responsibility.
