Transneft Kama Region Holds Contest for Employees as Part of Occupational Safety Day

Transneft Kama Region has held a themed contest as part of the Occupational Safety Day at Kanash Transport and Energy Technical School, which serves as the base training and retraining centre for workers of the oil pipeline industry.
The event took place on the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, which is celebrated annually on 28 April. The contest was attended by 25 employees: teams from the Kazan, the Almetyevsk, the Romashkino, the Udmurtia and the Perm Regional Oil Pipeline Directorates (RPDs) of the company.
The Occupational Safety Day, which allows to test theoretical and practical skills in the field of occupational health, was held in Transneft Kama Region for the sixth time. The goal was to form a systematic approach to improving operational standards and compliance with occupational safety requirements.
During the contest, the teams presented creative “homework” and thematic pictures. The participants also demonstrated the skills of removing a “victim” from a height and the use of personal protective equipment for a particular type of work. Among other contests were: the What? Where? When? quiz game, the Intellectual Crossword and the Ready for Labour and Defense, competitions of team captains.
According to the results, the title of the best occupational safety business unit of Transneft Kama Region was won by the Osa line operation dispatcher station. The captains contest was won by Denis Detistov, the captain of the Romashkino RPD’s team.
