Transneft Kama Region has joined the Garden of Memory international campaign. The company’s employees planted about a thousand young pine seedlings in the territory of Laishevo District of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Garden of Memory campaign was organised by the Victory Volunteers and the Victory Commanders Memorial Fund with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation and the Federal Forestry Agency as part of the Ecology national project, as well as the All-Russian Society for the Conservation of Nature and the Ecology national project.
The planting was attended by Director General of Transneft Kama Region Robert Galiev and employees of the company, as well as Head of the Laishevo Municipal District of the Republic Ildus Zaripov and representatives of the Laishevo Forestry.
The Garden of Memory international campaign was first held in 2020. Participants of the environmental event plant trees in memory of those deceased during the Great Patriotic War. In the Republic of Tatarstan, it is planned to plant a total of 700 thousand trees as part of the campaign.
Participation in such campaigns is part of Transneft Kama Region’s environmental policy aimed at preserving and restoring biological resources.
