Experts from an internationally recognised organisation have conducted an audit of energy and environmental management, as well as health protection and occupational safety management system of the Yelizavetinka oil pumping station and the executive office of the Romashkino Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate.
In the field of occupational health, the company's achievements include the use of innovative and multimedia technologies during briefings, in particular, a set of 3D models for visualisation of safe work during operation, repair and maintenance of equipment at trunk pipelines facilities.
In the field of environmental safety, experts noted the availability of necessary resources for the effective implementation of environmental protection measures. It was noted that during the scheduled inspections of Transneft Kama Region in 2019-2020 by the regulatory authorities, no violations and defects were revealed.
The auditors noted a number of technological solutions to improve the energy efficiency level: use of pumps and electric motors of pump units with increased efficiency, replacement of power transformers with new ones with reduced losses, use of equipment with reduced fuel consumption for electrical energy generation and reduction of exhaust gas emissions into the environment, use of energy-efficient heat saving solutions. The installation of conversion transducers to optimise the trunk pipelines operating modes and the reduction of starting currents to the electric motors of mainline pumps will be carried out in the near future. All these measures allow to reduce the energy resources consumption parameters.
Based on the results of auditing, the auditors concluded that Transneft Kama Region fully complied with the requirements of the international standards, and the implemented management systems worked efficiently and are constantly being improved. Certificates of compliance with standards of the energy management system (ISO 50001:2018 standard), environmental (ISO 14001:2015) management, and health protection and occupational safety management (ISO 45001:2018 standard) were confirmed.
