Transneft Kama Region Analyses Over 10,000 Samples as Part of Environmental Monitoring

Transneft Kama Region has performed 10,132 analyses of storm and waste water, soil, atmospheric air and industrial emissions using an instrumental procedure as part of industrial environmental and analytical monitoring.

Environmental monitoring works are performed regularly in accordance with the requirements of the regulatory documents of the company based on environmental control schedules.

The goal is to preserve nature and to preclude negative impact of technological processes on the environment.

Since the beginning of the year, of the total number of samples, 8,287 analyses were performed by the environmental analysis laboratories of Transneft Kama Region, the rest were performed by third-party accredited laboratories.

2,670 samples of natural groundwater and surface water were analysed to evaluate the quality. An analysis of 420 samples of drinking water was also performed. Specialists analysed 1,956 samples of atmospheric air and 1,524 samples of industrial emissions.

Sampling was performed at operating facilities of the Perm, Udmurtia, Romashkino, Kazan and Almetievsk Regional Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorates.

According to the results of the analyses, no excess of maximum permissible concentrations of controlled substances was detected.
