Transneft Kama Region Completes Scheduled Repairs at Oil Trunk Pipelines

During a scheduled shutdown of the Kholmogory – Klin OTP, a 50,000 m3 tank at Lazarevo line operation dispatcher station (LODS) was disconnected for subsequent revamping, a substandard air escape valve and a duplicate gate valve were cut out. 13 stop valves, one check valve and a gate valve were replaced. Midlife repairs of two gate valves and improvements of seven leakage lines at main pump units (MPU) were carried out.

13 gate valves and 11 substandard pressure taps were replaced, and midlife repairs of six gate valves were performed at the Surgut – Polotsk OTP. A booster pump unit and an MPU were connected at Platina oil pumping station (PS) and at Arbatskaya PS, respectively. The revamping included connection of a newly built 0.45 km long section of pressure oil pipeline at Biser PS, a 20,000 m3 tank at Perm LODS and crossover sections of the PIG trap at Syumsi PS.

During a shutdown of the Osa – Perm OTP, a duplicate gate valve and two substandard air escape valves were removed, two taps and a gate valve were replaced, and midlife repair of a gate valve was conducted.

54 repair pits were used during the large-scale works, which involved about 320 people and over 120 pieces of equipment. Specialists from Almetievsk, Romashkino, Kazan, Perm and Udmurtia Regional Oil Pipeline Directorates of Transneft Kama Region were engaged in the repairs, aided by specialists from Transneft Volga Region, Transneft Druzhba and Transneft Siberia.

The works were performed as part of the comprehensive technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme to ensure reliable operation of the oil trunk pipelines.

Transportation of oil through Transneft Kama Region’s oil trunk pipelines has been resumed on schedule in the standard mode.
