Transneft Kama Region has completed scheduled repairs at the Perm — Osa, Kiyengop — Naberezhnye Chelny, Kaltasy — Kuybyshev, Almetievsk — Kuybyshev-1 and Almetievsk — Aznakayevo-2 oil trunk pipelines located in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republic of Udmurtia, Perm Region and Samara Region.
The repairs involved specialists from Perm, Almetievsk, Romashkino, Udmurtia and Kazan Regional Oil Pipeline Directorates (RPD) of Transneft Kama Region.
During the scheduled shutdown, 9 gate valves were replaced, 2 gate valves were removed, 6 defects were cut out and a 10,000 m3 tank was disconnected at Naberezhnye Chelny oil pumping station (PS) for its further revamping.
Specialists of the Company connected temporary PIG traps for in-line inspection, removed 5 substandard air escape valves, replaced 4 thermowells of the oil quantity and quality metering systems (OQQMS) and performed midlife repair of five gate valves.
The work was conducted as part of the integrated technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme being implemented by Transneft Kama Region to upgrade oil trunk pipelines and ensure their reliable operation.
Transportation of oil through Transneft Kama Region oil trunk pipelines was resumed on schedule in standard mode.
