Date of publication: 06 August 2018 Print

Transneft Kama Region has finished scheduled repairs at the Surgut – Polotsk, Naberezhnye Chelny – Almetievsk, Kholmogory – Klin, Almetievsk – Gorky-2, Ust-Balyk – Kurgan – Ufa – Almetievsk (UBKUA) oil trunk pipelines (OTPs), and at the Naberezhnye Chelny – Almetievsk petroleum products trunk pipeline (PPTP).

In oil pipeline sections the Company’s professionals replaced gate valves, tweaked three main pump unit (MPU) leakage lines and remedied a defect at the Naberezhnye Chelny – Almetievsk petroleum products trunk pipeline.

The scheduled shutdown was used to cut out a defect at a crossover line from the UBKUA OTP to Aznakaevo PS, mount temporary PIG traps for inline inspection of the pressure manifold at Aznakaevo-2 PS, connect an MPU at Mikhaylovka PS, disconnect an MPU at Tingovatovo PS for subsequent pump replacement.

Altogether, 12 repair pits were made during the scheduled shutdown of pipelines. Repair crews of Almetievsk, Kazan, Romashkino, Perm and Udmurtia regional oil pipeline directorates (RPDs) affiliated with Transneft Kama Region performed the works round-the-clock.

The large-scale work was done under Transneft Kama Region’s integrated technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme. Oil transportation via oil trunk pipelines of Transneft Kama Region was resumed in normal mode, in line with the schedule, while the petroleum products pipeline was not suspended.
