Transneft Kama Region has completed scheduled repairs at the Almetievsk–Gorky-2, -3, Naberezhnye Chelny–Almetievsk, Kiengop–Naberezhnye Chelny and Ust-Balyk–Kurgan–Ufa–Almetievsk (UBKUA) oil trunk pipelines (OTPs).

The scheduled 72-hour-long shutdown of oil trunk pipelines served to eliminate 14 defects, replace 14 pressure taps, remove two substandard air escape valves and perform midlife repairs of seven stop valve units.

The scheduled repairs were done at 29 repair pits, with engagement of some 460 people and more than 163 pieces of equipment. The repairs brought together specialists of Almetievsk, Romashkino, Kazan, Perm and Udmurtia Regional Oil Pipeline Directorates of Transneft Kama Region while Transneft Druzhba’s professionals provided technical assistance.

The large-scale operations were conducted on 22–25 May under  Transneft Kama Region’s comprehensive technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme with the purpose of maintaining the  reliability of oil trunk pipelines’ functioning.

Transneft Kama Region has resumed oil transportation via the trunk pipelines in the normal mode according to the schedule.
