Transneft Kama Region completes routine repairs at five oil pipelines

   Transneft Kama Region has completed routine repairs at the Kholmogory – Klin (Platina – Perm section), Almetyevsk – Gorky-3, Ust-Balyk – Kurgan – Ufa – Almetyevsk (UBKUA) (Nurlino – Kaleykino section) and Naberezhnye Chelny – Almetyevsk oil trunk pipelines (OTPs) as well as at Kaleykino – Nizhnekamsk oil refinery. The maintenance works were carried out on 21–25 March 2018.

   During a scheduled oil pipeline shutdown, the Company’s specialists removed six substandard air escape valves, repaired four stop valves and eliminated a defect; replaced one gate valve and two substandard T-bends. A 10,000 m3 tank was disconnected from process oil pipelines, as part of the technical upgrading.

   The safety of the round-the-clock working process was ensured by workers of the Perm, Almetyevsk, Romashkino, Kazan and Udmurtia regional oil pipeline directorates of Transneft Kama Region.

   Overall, 550 employees and 200 pieces of equipment were engaged. The works were executed in accordance with the approved plan within the set deadlines.

   Oil transportation via Transneft Kama Region’s oil trunk pipelines has been restarted according to the schedule.
