Transneft Kama Region completed planned repair works at oil trunk pipelines

Transneft Kama Region completed the works at Naberezhnye Chelny - Almetievsk, Kholmogory - Klin and Kiengop - Naberezhnye Chelny oil trunk pipelines (OTP), planned for September 2017. In total 15 repair pits were developed as part of the works.

During the planned stop of Naberezhnye Chelny - Almetievsk oil trunk pipeline the enterprise’s specialists eliminated a defect using the method of spool cutting at the industrial pipeline of oil pump station No. 3 (OPS-3) and connected two valves assemblies.

As well, two gate valves at Studenets oil pump station and two stop valve units at industrial pipelines of the tank farm of Perm line operation dispatcher station (LODS) were replaced as part of construction of a tank with the amount of 50,000 cubic metres.

A new constructed pipeline section across the river Bydvayka with the length of 305 m was connected at Kiengop - Naberezhnye Chelny OTP, and a tank with the amount of 10,000 cubic metres was connected and commissioned after reconstruction and installation of floating roof, which will allow minimizing air pollutant emissions, at Malaya Purga OPS.

Specialists of Almetievsk, Kazan, Perm, Romashkino and Udmurtia Regional Oil Trunk Pipeline Directorates of Transneft Kama Region were involved in the repair activities. In total more than 350 persons and 150 equipment units were involved.

All the works were performed as part of the technical upgrading, revamping and overhaul programme of Transneft Kama Region. The objective is to maintain trunk oil pipeline operation reliability.

Oil transportation through Transneft Kama Region OTP was resumed as usual according to the schedule.
